About East Central University
East Central University is a regional university, located on 140 acres in Ada, Oklahoma.
Founded in 1909, ECU’s current undergraduate enrollment is 4,800, with students from 36 countries.
ECU offers more than 70 majors to choose from, including several pre-professional programs. In 2009, ECU opened the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center that houses the School of Fine Arts, and in 2013 ECU opened the doors to the Chickasaw Business and Conference Center which houses the Harland C. Stonecipher School of Business. ECU students not only learn in a state-of-the-art buildings, but have access to the latest technology.
ECU also has an outstanding record in preparing students for careers in healthcare. In fact, ECU students now have the opportunity to gain early admittance to the College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Oklahoma State University Center for Health and Sciences in Tulsa.
Other highly ranked degree programs at ECU include education, human services counseling and kinesiology.
